When receiving applications, KETI shall visit the applicants" factories and verify their manufacturing and facilities and systems in accordance with procedure prior to granting certification.
Factory inspection will be performed by the certification body where is related with KETI under MOU.
If an earlier factory inspection of a model of the same type of product manufactured in the same factory was conducted, it can be accepted results from the earlier factory inspection.
The inspection items of routine inspection according to article 5 paragraph 4 of the Act are per each following items.
- Whether manufacture in factory described in electric appliance safety certificate or not
- whether use the component described in critical component list attached in safety certificate or not
- whether observe the safety standard and the matter of safety certification or not
- whether manufacturer have manufacturing · inspection facilities and equipment as well as technical capability or not
- Whether conduct the self-testing and keep the record according of article 5 paragraph 5 of the Act or not
In the case of confirmation of compliance of the electric appliance subject to safety certification with safety standard according to the Article 8 paragraph 1 annex 2 of 1, collect the representative model among
In the case there is no sample to sampling according to item 4, the product on market shall be selected, the manufacturer shall produce within 6 months and submit to safety certification body for testing if no product on market.
"The inspection of product on market" means checking the compliance of electric appliance subject to safety certification which is distributed in market with safety standards.
